WEEP BETWEEN THE PORCH AND ALTAR

Joel 2:17 (KJV) Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?

This is a day of weeping.  Yes, I know that God has everything under control.  Yes, I know that we need to keep our eyes on Him and not our circumstances.  Yes I know that Jesus is still King.  At the same time I weep for America.  I weep because I am afraid that America has turned a corner so fast that we will crash and there is no going back.

Why do I weep for America?  Because America has invited God's judgment on herself.  America has turned her back on God's Word and don't be deceived, God will not be mocked. Israel wanted a king instead of God to rule over them and they got anarchy because King Saul disobeyed the word of the Lord.  This is what our president and nation is doing. Anarchy allowed the enemies of Israel to win over them.

We have states approving sodomite marriages. Our President openly approves this.
We have states legalizing the recreational use of marijuna.
We have one state (too close to call at this moment) who is consider physician assisted suicides.

I weep for the millions of babies that will be aborted.  Liberal judges will be appointed who are not pro-life.  This will make it impossible to change Roe Vs Wade for many many years, possibly forever. How long will God stand by and watch the shedding of inocent blood?

I weep because the American constitution will become null and void.  Liberal judges will be appointed who have no regard for the constitution.

I weep because there is no evidence of another Great Awakening.  I have been praying for another one, but we are falling harder asleep than ever.  We are more liberal and ungodly than I thought.

I have been praying, but now I am weeping.  Doug Small said something to the effect that we have a great prayer movement but we still don't have revival.  The one thing lacking is a deep grieving and humility over our sins.  Maybe we will have this now.  I know my grief is stronger today than yesterday.

I love the song, "Days Of Elijah" but I think rather these are the "Days of Noah".
Matthew 24:38 (KJV) For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark.
I am going to start using this blog to prepare us to endure hardness as a good soldier, to prepare us for the end times, and to get ready a people prepared to meet the Lord. I welcome you to join me.

The Harbinger/The Isaiah 9:10 Judgment

Wow!  That is what I thought when I read the book, "The Harbinger: The Ancient Mystery that Holds the Secret of America's Future" and then watched the documentary made after the book, "The Isaiah 9:10 Judgment".

Is it possible...

That there exists an ancient mystery that holds the secret of America s future?

That this mystery lies behind everything from 9/11 to the collapse of the global economy?

That ancient harbingers of judgment are now manifesting in America?

That God is sending America a prophetic message of what is yet to come?

Before its destruction as a nation, ancient Israel received nine harbingers, prophetic omens of warning. The same nine harbingers are now manifesting in America with immediate ramifications for end-time prophecy.

Hidden in an ancient biblical prophecy from Isaiah, the mysteries revealed in The Harbinger are so precise that they foretold recent American events down to the exact days. The revelations are so specific that even the most hardened skeptics will find it hard to dismiss or put down. It sounds like the plot of a Hollywood thriller with one exception... IT S REAL.

The prophetic mysteries are revealed through an intriguing and engaging narrative the reader will find hard to put down. The Harbinger opens with the appearance of a man burdened with a message he has received from a mysterious figure called The Prophet. The Prophet has given him nine seals, each containing a message about America s future. As he tells of his encounters with The Prophet, from a skyscraper in New York City, to a rural mountaintop, to Capitol Hill, to Ground Zero, the mystery behind each seal is revealed. As the story unfolds, each revelation becomes a piece in a greater puzzle the ramifications of which will even alter the course of world history.

Every American needs to read this book or watch this documentary.  I read the book straight through.  Read it again checking out its claims.  Then watched the DVD.  Shortly after watching the DVD, I was amazed to hear President Obama fulfill the prophecy again June 15, 2012). http://www.wnd.com/2012/06/obama-fulfills-isaiah-910-prophecy-again/

Eyes of Justice Book Review

Lis Wiehl and April Henry hit a home run with their lastest book in the "Triple Threat Club" series. I was immeiaately drawn into the story and didn't want to put the book down. I was very much intrigued from the beginning. I have read all the books in this particular series and I thought this one was the best one yet.

I was shocked when one of their own died. I didn't know if I would like the book after that, but I did. How can you have a triple threat with only two members? But the end of the book is satisfying. Throughout the book, you are not sure if one of the other club members are going to die also. The killer wants all three dead because they all worked together and hand a hand in his conviction...Cassidy the tv reporter, Allison, the prosecting attorney, and Nicole, the FBI agendt. There is lots of drama and suspense. Someone else is killed in a case of mistaken identity. The real killer goes after all three is not revealed until the end.

The only negative for me as a Christian is the drinking. One of the members even gets drunk. Of course, this is not condoned. The girl herself is not a Christian and she was "trapped" into drinking to such an extent. She usually only has one drink. But this is what can happen with one drink. It leads to another and another. Better off to not even start.

I find myself looking forward to the next book although I hope the authors do not kill off any more of the Triple Threat Club.

The American Patriots Bible

I really like the American Patriots Bible (The Word of God and the Shaping of America) edited by Dr. Richard G. Lee. America needs to get back to its Christian roots and the American Patriots Bible will help its readers do just that. It contains 254 articles. In my grading system in gets an A in Christian History. It is refreshing to read the truth about our Founding Fathers and to see the sovereign hand of God behind and throughout our nations history. A small sample of the some of the convictions of some of the Founders are shared. It is also beautifully illustrated and has full color features of: "The Bible and American Presidents"; "Faith of our Founders"; "The Great Awakening", "Full Color Maps", "Life In Colonial America" and much more. "The Seven Principles of the Judeo-Christan Ethic" are explained. I wish every American would read the American Patriots Bible. It reminds me of why I am proud to be an American and why our nation can not govern without the Bible. I am an American by birth and Christian by the grace of God.

I received this Bible free fom Booksneeze. I was not required to give a favorable review.

"Heart Of Ice" Book Review

I have thorougly enjoyed everyone of the books in the "Triple Threat" series by Lis Wiehl and April Henry. "Heart of Ice" is no exception. It is a fast read with plenty of action and thrills. There is deception, arson, and murder. We also get an inside look at the personal lives of the three main characters: Alison, a Federal prosecuter, Nicole, an FBI agent, and Cassidy, a television reporter. Together they solve the the crimes conceived by Elizabeth, who has a heart of ice. (They know her personally, but did not suspect her until...). Elizabeth is pretty and winsome, but lethal. You don't want to cross her. And Nicole's daughter is alone with her for a swimming lesson. Will Nicole get there in time and be able to save her daughter before its too late? One of the members in the Triple Threat Club is also on Elizabeth's list. Who? You will have to read the book. Most of the time, Elizabeth gets other to do her dirty work. She doesn't get too close. But this time she as to take matters into her own hands. Will she get caught and how much evil will she conceive?

I had been looking forward to this book since I read the last one in the series, "Hand of Fate". I have read the books and also listened to them on audio books. I enjoy them both ways. Now, I look foward to the fourth book in the series. I highly recommend this book. You won't be disappointed.

"Waking Hours" Book Review

I was able to read a copy of Liz Wiehl's new book, "Waking Hours" before it is released October 4, 2011. I have been a fan of hers having read the "Triple Threat" Series.

The story takes place is East Salem, New York. It is a quiet town, but now supernatural forces are waking up. A girl is murdered and the way she is murdered is a mystery to this town. Intigued, forensic Physicatrist Dani Haris and former professional football player, Tommy Gunderson, set out to solve this murder (who have had secret crushes on each other since high school) the suspense lasts thorugh out the whole book. The only suspects are teenagers and none of them remember what happened.

The days are one thing, but the nights are something else for Dani Haris as she has horrible dreams...nightmares and wakes up at the same time every night.

I enjoyed "Waking Hours" but it is different from her other fiction books in that some things that happen are not given an explanation. We are not given a "natural" explanation so that leaves us to assume a "supernatural" explanation? For example, a knife is left under her pillow. There is no way a person could have gotten into her house and left it there. A demon? Perhaps? The final conclusion is up to you. I believe in the supernatural but I had a hard time trying to figure out if what happened was tied into an ancient evil or not. Could it also have something to do with the 12 plagues God put on the Egyptians as told in the book of Exodus in the Bible? I am not sure. It left me somewhat confused. Mabe that was the author's intent.

What I don't like is that Christians in many fiction books lately are not real strong Christians but compromise a great deal. For example in this book, Tommy's mentor drinks beer. I assume he is a Christian.

But on the whole I really enjoyed the book. I usually like a good mystery.

THE FINAL SUMMIT BOOK REVIEW

"The Final Summit" was written by Andy Andrews as the second book in a series with the first book in the series being named, "The Traveler's Gift". You don't have to read the first book first. Each stand alone. I am not a big fan of Science Fiction, but I did enjoy the book after I got into it for a couple of chapters. I enjoyed meeting characters from history such as: Abraham Lincoln, Winston Churchill, Anne Frank, etc.

The main character of the book is a finctional character named David Ponder. David is grieving the death of his wife. The angel, Gabriel comes to him and takes him to this final summit where he meets these and other characters from history. Their job is to come up with a two word answer to the question, "What does humanity need to do, individually and collectively, to restore itself to the pathyway to successful civilization?" I kept trying to think of the answer myself as I read the book.

I enjoyed the many character lessons throughout the book. I learned much from them.

I would recommend this book.
